Will painful rubs 2 years on from breast reduction remain?

Question

I had a successful breast reduction in March 2021. It has been fantastic and life changing. During the recovery period I had a thick band from below my right breast to abdomen, like a piece of dry spaghetti. This eventually disappeared but I continue to have very sensitive and bruised like feelings on my lower ribs. Initially my surgeon said it was likely some fascia was pulled up. I just want to find out if it’s likely this will remain now? Or could it be something totally unrelated?! thanks

Myofascial release and lymphatic massage would be helpful in this case to provide improved healing, tissue flexibility, pain control and further waste management via the lymph system. This can happen post breast surgery and typically does improve and go away, however you may require additional therapy and time for this to do so.

It's difficult to determine if the pain you are experiencing in your ribs is related to your surgery.  At two years post op your results are final, so unless the underlying cause is determined it isn't likely to change.
