2nd breast reduction booked but don't know what will happen if I take SSRI again?

I had a breast reduction almost 8.5 years ago... I went from an E/F to a C and even down to a B at one point. For 2 years I was on an SSRI, which I stopped taking 3 months ago. In the last 6 months my breast have just exploded, with the last 3 months it feeling like they are bigger and bigger every week. Iam for sure more than an DD now..probably an E. I have a second breast reduction booked for March, but I dont know what will happen to me if I take an SSRI again (which I want to for anxiety)

Hello @vanety, thank you for your question. There are several factors to consider and a few additional tests to establish what is happening. I mean if the enlargement of the mammary gland is related to the medication. And from there implement a surgical plan based on your needs and expectations. Breast enlargement has been reports in women who are on chronic SSRI.
I would certainly discuss your questions and concerns with your Plastic Surgeon, as well as the doctor who has been prescribing you the SSRI. There may also be alternative medications that may be recommended. 
I suggest that you seek an in person consultation with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon to further discuss your options, specific techniques, concerns and expectations. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.

You might discuss with your medical doctor an option for anxiety medication that does not use SSRI, and does not increase weight gain.

Even after a reduction it is possible for breasts to get larger.  Typical contributing reasons are weight gain, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or other hormonal factors.  I encourage you to speak with your surgeon about your concerns at your consultation to learn more.
