I had breast augmentation in 2019 through my armpit with 325cc MP implants. I regretted going so small and I am now getting ready to undergo a revisional surgery. She wants to do 375-425cc HP (according to the BWD chart) but I am getting really nervous this is not the right choice. I want an as-natural-as-possible look while still getting more size and im afraid HP might not be the right choice! Please help ease my mind about HP or should I request MP implants?
Answer: My Recomendation Dear Genius1068, thanks for sharing your concerns, implants sizes selection are maybe the difficult step in this process, I do suggest to take a sit with your surgeon and talk about it, discuss your desires and listen his or her recommendation about, in order to meet your expectations. In my opinion Motiva Ergonomix 400cc will meet your expectations looking for ''as natural as possible''. However it is impossible to pick or recommend style, shape or sizes without an in person consultation, that provide the chance to get the measurement of key breast parameters. Make sure you go on consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. Hope this helps and best of lucks. Dr. Luis Mejia

Answer: Breast implant surgery thanks for your question, perception of revision breast surgery will be different because you will go through the same kind of op but have much less percentage change overall. I think it might be worth considering teardrop implants - i like these because for a given size, they tend to have more projection but without making the breast look round and 'implanted' but, of course, some patients prefer a rounder more implanted look.

Answer: Size With your narrow base, you will need a higher profile as you go up in size so it will fit your base. Perhaps, just go up to 375 or 400 cc's. You are actually a nice size for your frame, especially when you are much older.

Answer: Implant type Dear Genius1068, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: HP or MP Your concerns and preferences are valid, and it's essential to communicate them with your plastic surgeon. High-profile implants can provide more projection, while moderate-profile implants offer a more natural look with a slightly wider base. Share your desire for a more natural look with increased size and express any concerns you have about high-profile implants. Discuss your aesthetic goals with your surgeon. Ask your surgeon for before and after photos of patients who have similar body types and aesthetic goals. This can give you a better idea of the potential outcomes with both high-profile and moderate-profile implants. During your consultation, use sizers to get a sense of how different sizes and profiles may look on your body. This can help you visualize the potential results and make a more informed decision. If you are uncertain, consider seeking a second opinion from another qualified plastic surgeon. They can provide an alternative perspective and offer guidance based on your specific situation. Ultimately, the decision between high-profile and moderate-profile implants should align with your personal goals and the look you want to achieve. Best of luck !
