I’m 34 and 170lbs I have a wide chest and usually wear a 36b. I’ve recently had a breadt augmentation and they don’t look big or full enough. I’ve had a 450cc mentor moderate plus implant but they don’t seem much bigger from the front. Is this inplant not wide enough for my body? Do I need to consider a revision for a larger implant? I told my surgeon I wanted to be a dd and have full natural breasts that suit my body and I haven’t got this at all.
Answer: Mini lift with smaller implants or fat transfers The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, smaller implants can be placed totally submuscular or fat transfers. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Size Size limitations are based on your anatomy and measurements. It is possible that 450 cc's is what your tissue could initially support. Fat grafting could be added, or perhaps you can now support a somewhat larger implant. However, please do not choose a size that your tissue cannot support, or you will just sag with time. Your surgeon who initially examined and measured you will be the best one to guide you to a possible larger size.

Answer: Revision? From your photos it appears that your implants are still sitting high on the chest wall. They usually will drop within 3 months of surgery, but some patients may take longer. Once they are settled and you are healed you can assess if the size is adequate. If not, you can consider an implant exchange.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear krystalbxxx, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals. Answer: Breast augmentation Krystal, It appears that you are still in the early stages of healing from your breast augmentation. Your implants appear high and still need to drop into the pockets where the lower breast skin will round out and the breasts take on a different shape. I would wait 3-6 months for the breasts to settle, then assess size and shape. Dr. Taranow
