200cc or 225 Mentor moderate plus? Is 225 too big? Do sizers appear bigger than outcome? (Photos)

Going too small is never really an issue, especially when you're starting with small breasts. Pushing larger implants on a woman who does not want them is not what we do at our clinic. We let the patient chose their size because we want the patient to be happy. Keep in mind, some our our patients wish they would have gone with a larger size postoperatively. We wish you the best in your decision.

There are many ways to pick your breast implant size. You can rely on volume, dimensions, surgeon preference among various sources. There is seldom only one best option. My personal preference is to use three dimensional photographic simulation. I use Vectra. It is worth you efforts to find such a a tool in your area. It is the best way to visualize your potential result.

Please try on sizers in the sizes that your surgeon suggested to see how you may look and feel after surgery. You may find that it achieves the improvement you’d like, without looking overly large for your frame.

Thank you for your question and photos. It is difficult to discern a 20-25 cc volume difference so the question you should ask yourself (and already asked and answered) is which is a better problem to have, too big, or not big enough. A “natural” result can mean different things to different people, but if you are in the range of a 175 cc-225 cc implant you are probably safe. Low profile (“moderate” or “classic”) will be most appropriate for your goals. Make sure your plastic surgeon’s aesthetics seem to align with your own and ultimately, after reviewing photos and having one or more evaluations and discussions with your surgeon(s), you will have to trust your plastic surgeon. None of the pre-operative tools such as sizers are 100% accurate or predictive.

In my own practice I use intraoperative sterile sizers and evaluate your result with different implants IN YOUR BREASTS during surgery, and compare your immediate appearance to your wish photos. This rarely leads us astray and results in almost uniform patient satisfaction.

Hello, I would recommend moderate 225 cc implants, if you want to look like the photos with the desired results.

At size 32 or 34, each 100 cc of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. The difference between 200 cc and 225 cc implant is one quarter a cup size. You need to decide whether you want this or not. In the retro-pectoral position, the profile such as high profile or moderate plus is not as significant since the muscle compresses it.

Hello and thank you for posting. You will get good results with both options. I believe 225cc is a good option. But if you are scared it might be too big, 200cc would be great as well. The difference is minimal so, if you were my patient it would be up to you!

From 175 to 225 moderate plus are all modest size implants that would look on you. Your surgeon should let you try on all the sizes as sizers and let you make the final decision. Much more important is implant pocket location especially since you have minimal breast tissue. Submuscular will give you a much more natural slope to your breast and hide the implant the best. Also less chance of capsular contracture. Good luck.

I think all 3 will look nice on you. If you want the 175 cc's, then ask your surgeon to do this size. I think you would also be very happy with 200 cc's. All 3 will fit your frame.
