Sudden numbness 1 month after Juvederm fillers into lips

I had 1 ml of juvederm injected into my lips about 1 month ago & had numbness/bruising/lumps as i expected. 1 month on Ive noticed numbness in my lips, cheeks, mouth area, even chin! Is this due to the juvederm/could the injector have hit a nerve with the needle? Could a reaction to that really be this delayed? Started to panic now, as Ive got a slight numb feeling over my body (even under feet) but it is worse around my mouth/cheeks, making me think it has spread. Is this linked to lip fillers?

You will have swelling after your implant procedures. I recommend allowing the swelling to subside before getting lip injections. I hope this helps!

I recommend getting a consultation. It may be possible to perform subcision to the scar without permanent hair loss. There are options to help with hair regrowth following your procedure. I hope this helps!

It's hard to tell from your picture, but this may be bruising. VBeam treatments can give improvement. I recommend following up with your injector for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer

Thanks so much for reaching out. You’re having a very rare reaction to your filler. The best course of action would be to go back to your provider. Likely what you will need to do is start a short course of antibiotics and a steroid. You may need to have the filler dissolved. I hope this helps :)
