Can I dissolve some of the Juvederm XC from my lips without dissolving all the product? (Photo)

Hi Allabouteyes.  The answer to your question is yes, some Juvederm can be dissolved rather than all, but dissolving Hyaluronic acid based fillers is an art form and it's difficult to know how much to inject to dissolve just the area a patient is concerned about.  So, when we speak with patients about this issue, we let them know that we can go conservatively and they might have to pay for another treatment, or we can go aggressively and they might have to pay for more filler.  On the other hand, we might get it just right in either of these scenarios but it's not an exact science.  If the way it looks now is palatable for you, we would suggest leaving it.  Good luck.

Yes, you can attempt to have the juvederm partially dissolved, but it's hard to predict what the results will be. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with your injector. I hope this helps!

Hello & thank you for your question, I'm sorry that you're disappointed with your results. To answer your question; yes, your doctor could attempt to partially dissolve the product, however it's extremely difficult to know in advance what results will transpire. I recommend seeking consult with a well established & respected medical professional as this procedure is highly skilled.

I will say that small increments of hyaluronidase can be injected but it is not an exact science and may improve your situation but may also dissolve some product that you would like to maintain.

You can definitely reduce the volume of your lips with the use of hyaluronidase, but the professional must have significant experience with the product. Make sure your lips are at least two weeks old after the treatment. Good luck from New York City

You can absolutely dissolve a portion of the fillers in an area with an expert injecting technique and not affect the entire result.  It is always a good idea to be conservative with your injections and do a little at a time to avoid this problem. Please consult an expert in lip fillers for the best cosmetic result.  Best, Dr. Green
