I had lip filler close to 3 weeks ago on top and bottom. Never had bruising or any complications, however today I have a small spot that has discoloration. Dark purple. Could this be necrosis? Can this occur weeks after like this? I believe Juvederm was what I had.

Thanks so much for reaching out. You’re having a very rare reaction to your filler. The best course of action would be to go back to your provider. Likely what you will need to do is start a short course of antibiotics and a steroid. You may need to have the filler dissolved. I hope this helps :)
Yes, this is fine and shouldn't impact your Juvederm results. Lip augmentation with fillers would be a great option to improve the fullness and suppleness of the lips. I prefer to use a micro cannula to inject the lips to prevent bruising.
