I have to ask before I make a decision. Several surgeons in Turkey offer endoscopic canthoplasty with temporal lifting. What is the difference between normal canthoplasty and endoscopic? Do you think it works?
Answer: Unless you live in Turkey, I do not recommend traveling there to have surgery. Turkey is part of the EU but in many ways, they do not conform to all the standards of EU countries. That means that if anything goes wrong, you have essentially no legal rights. Endoscopic canthoplasty can certainly resuspend the lateral canthus. In some cases, the doctor actually makes a small incision in the upper eyelid even though it is supposedly an "endoscopic" procedure. It is important to under that this procedure results in an unacceptable disfigurement in most patients. The dissection that is done to mobilized the soft tissue close to the outer aspect of the eye damages the thin layer of fat that is present in this area. When you heal, the loss of this fat causes a hollowness in this area that is disproportionately damaging to the appearance. This small cushion of fat severs to visually separate the temple aesthetic area from the eye aesthetic area. Then this is gone, you loose who helps hold peoples gaze on your eyes. That is a big problem!. Don't get a surgery that is harmful to your appearance.

Answer: "endoscopic canthoplasty" I agree with previous comment that "endoscopic canthoplasty" sounds better than it is. It is unlikely it will result in any long lasting change in regards to the canthus. However, it can change the eyebrows.

Answer: "Endoscopic Canthoplasty" Having used endoscopy since before we used them for plastic surgical procedures and developed several endoscopic procedures, as well as worked with the eye for 40 years, I believe there is no way that anyone can do a legitimate canthoplasty that will resist the forces of the eyelid endoscopically. Perhaps a canthopexy is possible, but not a canthoplasty. Novel procedures are frequently done as a marketing gimmick, and are generally best avoided until proven.
