Thank you for you question, It is not normal to feel tightness to your smile after injections. Swelling is common after injections and can last approx. 2 weeks. After this time period if you are still experiencing this tightness schedule a follow up with your injector to discuss. Best.
Thank you for your question. Do you have pictures? If injected properly to volumize the cheeks, Voluma should not effect the smile. That being said, I don't know how or exactly where your Voluma was injected and don't have any before and after pictures as a reference. To be sure, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have these treatments.I hope this helps.
Voluma injected properly should not affect tightness in your smile at all, but a feeling of heaviness or stiffness may be there if there was a lot of Voluma injected low into the "apple" of the cheek. In addition, if you had Botox or Dysport to your crow's feet area on the same day, that treatment may also affect some of the smile muscles and make it feel like you can't lift the corners of your mouth, if injected relatively low and onto the upper cheek area. Please see your local board-certified dermatologist with records of what you had done for the best evaluation.
It is unusual for a tight smile to persist ten days post treatment. Swelling may still be present. If it does not loosen over the next week, then contact your injector and express your concern. There may be more volume added then you are comfortable with. However, your injector can address this upon when you return.
Hello Francoam, It is difficult to make recommendations without being there for your injections, examining you, or seeing photos. Voluma is indicated for injection into the cheek bone regions. If you were injected lower than this there is the possibility of swelling surrounding the muscles that help raise the corners of your mouth and your smile. This swelling may inhibit your ability to fully lift the heavier cheek now. I would allow a little time to pass for the swelling to subside. You may wish to use cool compresses to help speed that process up. If this persists I recommend you see your physician who injected the Voluma for further advice and even possibly considering dissolving the Voluma. This is a reversible product. Good luck.Hope this helps. Dr. Shadfar
