My first consultation with Dr. Shadfar was on May 2016. I wanted to get a rhinoplasty for health/cosmetic reasons. I could not breathe at all from my nose and I did not like the shape of it either (it was crooked and had a hump). He is the nicest and most caring Dr I have ever met. I went to other Drs, but I did not feel comfortable to have them do this procedure for me. He is a very easy to talk to guy and wants to hear from you more, this is one of the reasons I felt comfortable to have him do this procedure for me. This is a tough procedure and I think people should make sure they can trust the doctor before moving forward with it. He talked with me about how everything will go, answered all of my questions, told me my problem, and then took some pictures and showed me how my nose would look like after surgery. My surgery took place a couple of weeks after I met with him. I was nervous the day of surgery because it was my first surgery ever, but he came in, and made sure everything was going great. After surgery, I don't remember much of what happened the first couple of hours. I remember that he checked on me as I was recovering that first week and wanted to make sure I was doing well. The first week after surgery was pretty rough, but there was not a lot of pain, just discomfort. After a week, I went back and got my cast off. I am still recovering because the healing process takes about a year, but I am satisfied with everything and he did exactly what I wanted and better. I would recommend Dr. Shadfar to anyone that wants to get facial procedures because he does a perfect job.
I'm thrilled with the results of my facial filler and botox injections by Dr. Shadfar. He has a special technique using a "microcannula" that makes the procedure more comforatable. My before and after photos show the profound improvement he's made in my appearance. Dr. Shadfar has a very gentle touch and the eye of an artist!
I am a 50 year old woman who was just tired of looking at wrinkles in the mirror. I was just unhappy with my face and had dreamed of doing this for a few yrs. . I have 5 children ranging from 31 to 9 years of age. I didn't want to look like an old mom(for my 12 and 9 year old) or old grandma. I worshipped the sun all my life and my skin paid the price.
Dr. Shadfar was extremely thorough during consultation and provided me with enough information to alow me to make a more educated decision on how I could proceed. Dr. Shadfar educated me on the procedure, what type of results I could expect and addressed my concerns. The after care has been exceptional. Excited to see continued results.
I have an S shaped septum, collapsed nostril flap at which I do not get air in my right nostril, my nose is crooked due to taking a ball to the face and a clogged duct in my cheek that needs to be surgically removed and biopsied. In addition, a mass in my right sinus cavity that showed up in my dental CT scan that has concerned me as I already have breast cancer. I had the appt in my calendar, took off work, drove 45 min and was at the clinic, however was advised my appt. was the day before. I never miss appts and was upset at myself for putting the day in my calendar as the 19th vs 18th and missed the appt. as I had waited 2 months to see him. His office advised I could not rebook as his policy is you miss an appt. you're done! We all make mistakes even Dr. Shadfar. For a Dr. to dismiss a patient after waiting 2 months to see him is very arrogant and reflects his lack of empathy and compassion for patients that are suffering due to a medical condition.
Hello askigquestions, Thank you for your question.  A pollybeak deformity arises one of three ways.  Some people are born with a prominent supra tip fullness, however the true pollybeak deformity is often after surgery or trauma.  This results from under resection of the cartilage dorsum (hump) or over resection of the bony dorsum and leaving too much cartilage below.I would seek out a board certified plastic surgeon to go over imaging results to help explain in greater detail the options for you.Good luckDrS
Hello amp98, Thank you for your question.  The short answer is that surgical rhinkoplasty can be a very effective long lasting solution to the issues you raise with your nose.  Supporting the nasal tip is crucial to maintaining long lasting results.  I would seek care from a board certified facial plastic surgeon to evaluate you and help guide you to the best option for you.Best of Luck, DrS
Hello Victoriag0223, Thank you for your question.  Reducing the projection of the ears is still considered an otoplasty to most surgeons.  The name is not the important part, rather what will be necessary to achieve the result you and your surgeon are looking for. You are correct, by doing the procedure under local anesthesia you can reduce cost significantly.I would recommend you seek out a facial plastic surgeon to evaluate you in person and discuss the cost associated with this treatment, as well as what is necessary to achieve your goals. Thanks!DrS
Hello georgehanna5, Thank you for your question.Without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of any further treatments it is difficult to be comprehensive.Based on your photo I can see how you think the tip is bulbous.  You could benefit from a rhinoplasty to refine the tip and give you better harmony and balance. I would seek out care from a facial plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best of Luck, DrS
Hello Kari2610, Thank you for your question.Without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of any further treatments it is difficult to be comprehensive. From your photos you appear to be a candidate for  a revision rhinoplasty. Sometimes the cartilage that supports the middle portion (vault) of the nose can collapse.  It is hard to say just from the one picture you have here.I would seek out a facial plastic surgeon to evaluate you in person and discuss your treatment options.DrS
