Is it normal to have bruising, nausea and a headache after Voluma injections to both upper cheeks?

Hard to comment on the bruising without a photo. Some folks will bruise with placement of Voluma. This is especially true of patients who have consumed aspirin, ibuprofen, St. John's wart, gingko, Vit. E, and/or a host of other things known to promote bruising. Our office likes arnica, (an herbal supplement), to decrease the bruising. We also note that ice and elevation of the head at 30 degrees tends to help. Nuasuea is usually not a side effect. Please tell your experienced injector your concerns.

Side effects of Voluma injections does not include nausea. Slight pain and bruising are normal. I would recommend that you book a follow up with your injector and confirm that everything is ok.

This is not at all a typical sideeffect of #Voluma and I recommend you see your PCP and the physician who injected you, especially since you indicate the nausea is severe.I hope you feel better soon!

I would not say that nausea is a normal side effect after Voluma has been injected. Bruising most definitely occurs, and also swelling, and some tenderness in the area. But the nausea isn't a normal side effect. I would recommend you see your injector for a follow-up just to confirm that everything is ok and there's no infection.
