My breast are droopy and separated, but because I have huge areolas. They are very light, but the large size makes the separation and droopy look to my breast. I am very insecure about it. I am 20 years old. What type of scars will come with areola reduction?

Answer: If I get an areola reduction, will my breast lift a little more? Thank you for the question. Yes, the circumareolar (Benelli) breast lift will "lift" the breast a little bit; it may not be a powerful enough breast lift to achieve an outcome that you will be pleased with. My best suggestion: seek consultation with board-certified plastic surgeons who can demonstrate significant experience achieving the types of outcomes you will be pleased with. Answer: Areola reduction An areola reduction can provide a subtle lift. It is a minor procedure and usually does not require general anesthesia. A circular scar around the border of the new areola will result, although because the scar is located at the interface of two different skin colors and textures, in many women it heals very nicely. Have a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery evaluate you to learn what surgical options are best.Good luck,Keith Blechman, MDNew York, NY
