Are my areolas too big? (Photo)

Question

I have felt very insecure about my nipples for a long time and I feel like they are too big. I want advice from others and hear their opinions. Also, I have blue veins on my breasts and I don't know how to decrease the appearance of them.

No I do not think your areolas are too large. You have very pretty breasts and should feel confident about them. Breasts come in a lot of different shapes and sizes. that's what makes the world go 'round.

Thank you for your question.  The size of your areolas are what mother nature made them.  Whether they are too big is purely your opinion.  If a person wants them reduced there is a solution.  It does require an incision around the areaola to decrese the size.  This can be done as an outpatient and sometimes just with local anesthesia.  I would recommend starting with a face to face consult with a Board Certified
Plastic Surgeon who has experience in breast surgery. During your visit your
surgeon should be evaluating your health to determine if you are a good
surgical candidate and examining your tissues to get a sense of what type of
procedure your tissues will allow. Only with a hands on exam can this be
determined. Once an exam and opinion is rendered then you can decide if surgery
is right for you. Good luck.

The average size of the female areola varies, and it varies between 30 and 40 mm.  Nipple areola reduction can be easily performed on patients who feel that their areolas are too large.
