My breasts aren't exactly droopy, albeit my large areolas make it appear so. (They almost point down!) Would it be possible to have them reduced, without having a breast lift? I do not mind my breasts, but I can't stand looking at my areolas. From left to right my areola is 4.5cm, from top to bottom, it is about 6cm...

Answer: Areola reduction It sounds like you have oblong shaped areolas which are a big larger than average. It is possible to perform an areola reduction without a lift, which will also make your areaolas more round. Seek a consultation with a board-certified (by the American Board of Plastic Surgery) plastic surgeon for a consultation. I hope this helps and best wishes.

Answer: Areolar Reduction You would probably benefit from a "pursestring" mastopexy to reduce the diameter and enhance the roundness of your areolae. The procedure raises the nipple position slightly too, rarely not of benefit.Meet with a Bd Certified (ABPS) plastic surgeon and discuss your options. Remember though that it will leave an incision line around your areolae so make sure that you are shown some of the "scars" that are necessary for this procedure. Generally, they are quite acceptable. Best wishes and good luck!
