Is there a non-invasive way to do a subtle lip lift?

Lip fillers in the cupid's bow can a way to achieve a slight increase in height, though the bullhorn lift is not as invasive as it sounds. The procedure can be performed under local anesthetic and takes less than an hour. The scarring is very minimal as it is disguised within the natural crease of the nose. For a non-invasive option, Thermage could provide a slight lifting effect, thought the results will probably be very subtle.

Amina.   Photos or physical exam would be helpful, but it sounds like fillers, like Juvederm Ultra plus would provide your best option. Most lip lifting operations run the risk of poor scarring in a very prominent area of the face! Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon . Good luck!

Thank you for sharing your question.  The most reliable non-invasive method of creating a subtle lip lift would be with the use of dermal fillers.  With placement into the central portion of the upper lip you will see increased volume and increased red show, lifting the lip.  Be sure to see an ASPS board certified plastic surgeon in consultation. 

Dermal fillers can be beneficial but it is important to choose experienced provider to perform injection strategically. There are few fillers that can be used here. Volbella is great filler since it is thicker and results last longer than Juvederm and Restylane. Moreover, more permanent solution are implants and fat grafting. I am glad you used the word “subtle,” because that is the most appropriate adjective to apply when discussing successful lip augmentation. Although full and wasp-stung lips are all the rage, they don't look good on everyone. Careful administration of hyaluronic-acid fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, Restylane Silk and Volbella can add delicate and natural lift, shape and volume to the lips. Please consult with a board-certified dermatologist who has expertise in treating lips with dermal fillers.

I never recommend medically unnecessary surgery on the lips. To add volume or shape, the hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are the best option. Juvederm, Restylane and Volbella are all wonderful fillers that can be used to give you the lips you desire. I would use Restylane silk to lift the lip.   I did a very subtle lip lift with Restylane yesterday in the office for a young woman.  It doesn't take much product at all.  I also prefer to inject with cannulas so I minimize bleeding and possible injection injury.

The easiest way to do this is to place 0.05 - 0.1ml of a filler eg Juvederm Volift or Juvederm Volbella in to each tubercle of the upper lip.
Problem solved! It will take about 10 seconds to do the procedure and probably will last you at least a year with minimal risk. Doesn't normally bruise either if done by someone who knows what they are doing.
There is another approach using a cannula but takes much more skill (and gives a much nicer result in my humble opinion) but most will not be able to do this well so it's best to stick to a needle.
Seriously don't even think about surgery.
