Im a 37 yo white male in good health. I plan to have my chest contoured. I have fat covering chest but I am also muscular under it. What bothers me most is the side-sagging fat on each side. Can liposuction be preformed to contour and skin removed (if needed) by cutting it out / lifting via the armpit. Leaving a scar only in armpits? (I'll also be having lipo on stomach, pelvic, flanks, and back by a board certified plastic surgeon, but that's not a concern.) Any advice would be appreciated.
Answer: Liposuction Hello and thank you for your question. The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. Based on your photographs, the best shape and contour could be achieved with liposuction of your lateral chest area. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. FACS Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Liposuction Candidate--VASER HI DEF 4D Liposculpture, ThermiRF, fat grafting You appear to be a good candidate for liposuction. For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hi definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Liposuction candidate Thank you for your question. You appear to be a good candidate for liposuction. Common areas for men to store fat incllude the chest, abdomen, and love handles and liposuction can be a very nice option to lean down relatively easily. In each area we remove a significant amount of fat inorder to get a more masculine form. We then use postoperative compression garments and therapies to get the skin to contract down around the new shape. That said, you definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety. A key quality indicator is Board Certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Don’t settle for less than a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.

Answer: Body Contouring with Micro-Liposuction John. You already have an excellent muscular physique, so your best option would be contouring of your chest and flank regions utilizing micro liposuction. You do not have a lot of fat in those areas and small cannulas are needed to sculpt the regions by removing the fat yet not creating skin irregularities. The skin in these areas should contract after treatment. Be certain To consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
