Could I benefit from masseter botox injections? (Photo)

Question

I think my face is wider than it should be and I am unhappy with it. I have a low body fat % ,yet my cheeks look full. i would like a more angular face, when i feel the sides of my face they seem to feel quite muscular. But I'm not sure if those muscles are much larger than the average persons? Also the right side of my face (on the right side of the photo..as its mirrored) is fuller than my left. As I clench more on this side, this makes me think that I do have quite enlarged masseter muscles

You have a nicely proportioned masculine face and in your case, Botox for the masters would not be advised.

Botox placed in the masseter muscle is a treatment for clenching and grinding and a side effect is a temporary loss of volume in the lower cheeks, making the lower face look thinner. A strong jawline is actually more desirable for a male, and in my opinion the wrong aesthetic goal for a normal handsome man such as yourself. Unless this is necessary for functional reasons, I'm not sure the outcome would be what you are after. If you still try it and then have regrets, it will always wear off.

Thank you for your photos and question.  Based off of these photos, your facial proportions look great.  It does not appear that your face is too wide.  Botox to the masseter muscle is a great way to slim down one's facial contour, but it does not appear it will benefit you much as it will make the face less angular (less square).  I hope this helps!

I don't really think that your face is that wide. However if you are clinching your masseters, Botox will help. It will somewhat slim your face too. If you don't like the results, it is back to baseline after about 4 months anyways.

First off, you look great. Second, you state that you would like a more "angular" face. Yet, Botox does precisely the opposite. By injecting Botox into the jawline (i.e. masseter muscles) we are able to SOFTEN the face, thereby making an angular face more rounded. Thus, this is not the right fit for you. The only reason to inject your jawline would be to relieve jaw pain or headaches from clenching, biting and grinding.  Cosmetically, you do not need it.  Be well!
