Ledge/Ridge in chin after Botox--please help!

Question

I recently had 6 units of botox injected in my chin for my pebble/cobblestone chin. Today is the second day and I have developed a ridge/ledge where part of my chin just sticks out when my lips come together. It looks awful! I need to know if this is likely to resolve and if not what I can do to fix it. I am NOT interested in getting more botox as it made me feel sick after! Can Juvederm help fix this issue and can I expect any severe side effects to it? Can I easily fix this issue?

Your best bet is to go see the doctor who performed the injection to determine if this is just a result of injection site trauma that will subside in a few days or whether the injection wasn't completed satisfactorily.

It is unlikely that this is due to Botox as it has not had time to work. More likely, you have a little swelling from the process of injecting itself and it should go away

Fixing this with Juvederm will be tricky as Juvederm is static, and Botox is for motion of the muscles.Juvederm will last longer than the effect of the Botox.See your doctor this week to try to come up with a solution that works for you.
