I'm 35 years old and underwent breast augmentation surgery under the muscle a year ago. My mother who is 65 just got diagnosed with breast cancer. Would the plastic surgeon have found lumps during the surgery?

Answer: Cancer detection during surgery Hello, a breast cancer would not necessarily be detected during surgery. Depending on the location of the incision and the implant pocket, the surgeon might not encounter any abnormal-appearing tissue during the procedure.
