Bump on the side of my nose. If I get rhinoplasty done to fix it, would it leave a visible scar? (Photo)

If you have not had recent trauma, then the new bump could be a cyst or other growth. Sometimes the cartilage within the nose can change shape as well. The first step is a good examination with a rhinoplasty specialist who can discuss your options. If it is something internal, then it can usually be removed at the same time a rhinoplasty is performed to reshape your nose. In that case, the only scar would be under the nose on the columella, and that usually fades nicely over time.

 when surgeons perform a rhinoplasty, they do not make an incision where the bumped his.  The incisions are usually made inside of the nose, and in between the nostril on the underside of the nose.

With the pictures you provided it is difficult to tell you what the bump is that is forming on your nose. However, it is important to note that your nose cartilage is constantly growing. This may be a change in shape within the cartilage. To be more sure, I recommend making an appointment with your doctor to have it checked. You have a slight concavity (ushape) to the lower cartilage in this area.  In general, a small concealed incision can be made deep to this area and it can be filled in with soft tissue, fat or fascia for concealment.  It would not leave a scar that is visible externally.  And it would help acheive symmetry.  If there are other features of your nose that you are bothered with the easy approach is to visit with someone in formal consultation to discuss all of your options.  Best!
