I had an aggressive open rhinoplasty 4 years ago, I had nasal airway tubes inserted for 1 week. After they were removed the taste came back but not the smell, now I have 80% loss of smell. My nose sidewalls slowly collapsed during the 1st year and I had a revision with graft 1 year ago, but still no difference. What did go wrong in the first surgery as I have almost no smell? could it be caused by the airway tube insertion? Please explain to me what could have gone wrong in the first surgery.
