I am 26 and have noticed a significant loss of volume in the past 2-3 years. I am quite thin and also have a long, thin face. I have received 2 syringes of voluma in the past year. While I am happy with the results of voluma, I notice that it does not seem to last very long. It also only creates volume in certain areas. I read that Sculptra works by stimulating collagen, but if I am only 26, do I have a significant loss of collagen that needs correcting? I would like my face to look less thin.
Answer: Sculptra and Voluma Combination Thank you for your question. You are an excellent candidate for Sculptra. Sculptra works by increasing and building up your own body's collagen gradually with very natural and long term effects. My advice would be to look for an experienced injector who can work with you to chose the best injectables to fit your needs. We often use sculptra and Voluma together in different tissue planes. My best, Anil Rajani, MD

Answer: Sculptra for patients in their 20's? The answer is YES! Sculptra is a great option if you have a very thin face and are having trouble keeping facial volume. The product effectively stimulates your own body to produce collagen and can do so with very long term effects. My suggestion is that you look for an experienced injector who is well trained not only in Sculptra but also in the other injectables so that you can get a more balanced view of what specifically will work for you. I hope that helps!

Answer: Sculptra for Younger Patients This is a great question! Sculptra is a unique product that works by gradually stimulating your body's natural collagen production to subtly add volume and lift and contour the face. The results gradually build over time, and it can take a few treatment sessions for best results. Most patients find that their results last for up to two years. I find that Sculptra works particularly well for patients with thinner faces. Patients in their 20's definitely can get Sculptra treatments, however I would recommend that you schedule a consultation with an experienced, board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon to discuss the best treatment plan to help you achieve your goals. Best of luck!

Answer: Sculptra Thank you for your question. Sculptra is an injectable treatment that functions as a volumizer and caused your body produce its own filler. It is used to add volume to the face. Sculptra is a purified treatment of poly-L-lactic acid. When injected in the face, it stimulates your body to produce additional collagen, which will fill in the desired areas. Your body will begin producing collagen after a few weeks. Most people get 2-3 treatments to achieve ideal results. Once achieved, these results may last up 2-3 years. For more information, it is best to get a in person consultation with a board-certified dermatologist.
