Can CoolSculpting cause fat killed off from treated areas to redirect to the breasts?

Thank you for your question.  Coolsculpting is designed to reduce a designated area by a process of that causes cellular death of fat cells.  Those cells are gone forever.  Should you gain significant weight following your treatment, your weight gain will likely be in your areas of greatest opportunity (or areas where you have been likely to gain weight in the past).  Best of luck.

Hi.  Fortunately Coolsculpting permanently kills the fat cells and they are eliminated from the body just the same as after an injury, surgery, etc.  There is no mechanism to "redirect" the fat cells to be deposited elsewhere.  Commonly, after reducing fat in an area, an adjacent area can have the illusion of being larger (i.e. reducing the chestwall on the sides of either breast can make breasts appear more prominently). Talk to your CS specialist if you feel you have excessive swelling in a treated area. Good luck!

That's a GREAT question! Previous studies have indicated that over one-third of the women who have liposuction experience increased breast size, however, new studies conflict with this information. The liposuction removes fat in the area that it being specifically treated, similar to what CoolSculpting does.  My opinion is that it varies from woman to woman and may be impacted by post-liposuction weight gain.
