I have been seeing Dr. Jacob for around 2 years now. I am pretty choosy when it comes to physicians and I can't praise her highly enough. She will make suggestions in terms if what treatments will be helpful. For cosmetic concerns which are not covered by insurance the prices are clearly stated and she does not push products. Since I have been seeing her my skin has improved immeasurably. Initially I went to her as I was concerned about some breakouts as well as I felt I had lost the "glow" I had because of some illness. She prescribed Renova which worked amazingly well as well as telling me about a moisturizer from the drugstore that finally stopped my incredibly sensitive skin from reacting. I also had the area under my eyes injected. She is so good at injecting fillers. It is natural appearing and doesn't hurt at all. This made such a difference and has been such a confidence boost. It is also nice as we are similar age and she has had the treatments herself. Cannot recommend her highly enough. Her staff are very friendly and helpful and her office is very nice. Always runs on time too. I also like that although she sees plenty of cosmetic patients and she is very attractive, she looks like she actually works hard, is not wearing a ridiculous cocktail dress like some MDs in plastic surgery/dermatology.
To slow down the aging process.
I have lines above the bridge of my nose, wanted a more relaxed, rested look. I had a dysport appointment, it was ontime, my nurse asked if I had any concerns.I was a little nervous... Then Dr. Jacob came in, made sure I was comfortable. She asked if I wanted more of an arch in my eyebrow. She said it would really opened my eye area... 4 days later... Full effect...AWESOME results!! Very natural, and exactly what I wanted!!
I had Dysport because I like the way it makes me look... and who doesn't want to look good?
Terrible @ completing punch excisions! Scarred me for life. Keep away. She attempted to do the right thing but she failed. So now years later I have to have fillers. And I told her about my hx of keloid scaring !
Zeltiq procedure for lower abdomen. Pros: No wait time, pleasant office atmosphere, friendly doctor and staff. No pain; mild discomfort. Cons: Treatment not successful. Doctor/staff did not follow-thru. Disappointed that I spent $2,000 and had no visual or measurable improvement. Disappointed that doctor did not offer some type of consolation for spending money and not getting any results.
It appears you're getting a lower dose of Dysport then your facial muscles require, as you should expect about 3-4 months of longevity after treatment. I would suggest seeing another Board-Certified Dermatologist, explaining the dosage and time frame you've laid out here. They can provide a second opinion at your cosmetic consultation for the correct dosage and injection technique so you can enjoy longer, more dramatic results from Dysport!
Depending on the patient, their expectations, and severity of hyperhidrosis they may have, we sometimes treat our patients with a third miraDry treatment. We also perform a Starch-Iodine Test at each miraDry appointment which allows us to visually assess a patient's sweat production and their response to treatment. See if your provider could perform this test if you haven't already, and if a third miraDry would benefit you. And remember, miraDry reduces sweat up to 82% and odor by 89%!
You should always wear SPF 30 or higher with zinc oxide to protect your skin. UVA & UVB rays break down collagen so you want to protect your investment. If planning a sunny vacation, pack a large brimmed hat, SPF 30, and sun protection clothing. Do outdoor activities before 10 am or after 4 pm when the sun's rays are less direct.
Pores are best refined with AHA, tretinoin, microdermabrasions and microneedling. Pre size is largely genetic and can enlarge over time. Daily medications can help to keep them clean.
You should see a board-certified dermatology to evaluate your hormones and vitamin D levels, then depending on findings set up a treatment plan. Severe dieting and steroids can cause telogen effluvium. This is where the hair sheds dramatically after these changes. It will take at least 6 months to stabilize and start growing hair. PRP can help, but have your lab work done before to make sure there are not other issues that need to be addressed.
