I have 400cc high profile silicone implants in place for 9 years. I’m looking for explant. My IMF sits at my elbow (very low). Also, there is a 6 inch difference from chest and bust measurements make me a DD-DDD in American bra sizes. I am 5’ 6” 127 lbs. these breasts are HUGE. Is there any way to raise the IMF surgically? I’m looking to be PERKY B-C cup? Best method for desired result?
Answer: The Bellesoma Method lifts the inframammary fold The technique I recommend is explantation using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed are maintained, if not injured during your previous surgery. The inframammary fold will be raised using this technique.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Can my inframammary fold be raised surgically? What is the best method to bring me to a perky B-C cup? Yes, the IMF can be raised surgically but that is not necessarily going to result in the look you want. I encourage you to meet with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation. Determining how much native tissue you have versus implant and current skin elasticity will help determine which, if any procedures are needed to help you achieve your goals.

Answer: Breast Implant Removal The inframammary fold can be raised, as it is done often in breast revision surgery. In your case the relationship of your breast meaning the distance of the nipple/areola (NAC) to the IMF and the location of your NAC is very good. Trying to raise the tuck after explant would only alter the relationship of your NAC and would likley result in you need a lift to restore that relationship. I would likely say that your long distance from your clavicle to your breasts is your anatomy (preop photos would help clarify that). Also it is difficult to say how much breast tissue you would have left after removal. Again by the photos it appears that you may be a lot of implant and very little breast tissue.I would recommend you see a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options in person.Hope that helps.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear katymarie2, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals. Answer: Can my inframammary fold be raised surgically? What is the best method to bring me to a perky B-C cup? Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. It is possible to surgically raise the IMF but it would be helpful to see before images as well as to know whether your original surgeon lowered yours to accomodate your implant size. I would seek out a series of ASPS surgeons in consultation for in-person evaluations of your tissues and goal results.
