I had the wedge labiaplasty with CHR. There are hard lumps still and extra layers of skin that are somewhat painful when touched. Is that my frenelum? How can this be fixed?
Answer: How to fix lumps after labiaplasty Lumps can be fixed. However, if your labiaplasty was recently done, some of these lumps may represent temporary swelling. This takes time to go away. How long varies from person to person. I would recommend waiting at least six months from your surgery to be sure that these are not temporary issues.

Answer: Revision labiaplasty Thank you for sharing your experience — I can see how uncomfortable and frustrating this must be. From the photos and your description, it appears that you may be dealing with a combination of residual scar tissue, uneven wound healing, and possibly delayed suture removal, which can all contribute to the hard lumps and irregular contour you’re noticing now. It’s also likely that excess tissue was removed, causing tension and distortion in the surrounding anatomy, including lifting of the perineal area. This tension can result in pulling or bunching, especially around the frenular area, and that may be what you’re feeling when touched. As an experienced cosmetic gynecologist, I take a very individualized approach to labiaplasty. I don’t apply the same surgical technique to every patient — the method I use depends entirely on your baseline anatomy, tissue type, and aesthetic goals. I also do not typically perform full vaginal resections or use aggressive techniques unless absolutely necessary. Choosing the right approach for your body makes all the difference in both healing and final results. It’s also important to know how long ago your surgery was performed. In the early months, it’s very common for the labia to feel firm or lumpy, and some unevenness can improve significantly with time alone. Scar tissue softens over several months, and residual swelling can take up to a year to fully resolve. If your procedure was recent, time may be your best ally for now. That said, if enough time has passed and these lumps are persistent and painful, a well-planned revision could absolutely improve your outcome. Revision surgery may involve scar tissue excision, contouring, or even fat grafting in some cases to restore symmetry and comfort. The best next step would be an in-person consultation or a virtual visit where I can ask more detailed questions, assess healing progress, and develop a plan that works for your anatomy and concerns.

Answer: CAN THIS BE FIXED WITH REVISION THANK YOU FOR YOUR QUESTIONThe photos show sloppy work where the the prepuce is inadequately treated as well as poor symmetry and irregularity on the labia. This can be improved by properly and symmetrically reducing the prepuce and smoothing out the labia minora

Answer: Labiaplasty revision Yes the lumps can be corrected. Be aware that some of the lumps can be from swelling after the labiaplasty and you need to wait at least six months after the procedure to allow the swelling to resolve. If the lumps are still present then you could consider a revision of the labiaplasty.

Answer: Revision Labiaplasty Thanks for your post. It appears you are recently postop so things will appear better over time. Once all the swelling is gone you could then assess if you would want to improve the appearance which would require an expertly performed clitoral hood reduction, labiaplasty and excision of excess perineal skin between the vagina and anus. You'll have to wait till you are 5-6 months postop. Go to the link below to see hundreds of before and after photos where you will find many examples that are similar to you. From that link you can schedule a virtual consultation via phone or zoom, at which time we can discuss in depth your anatomy, expectations and concerns.
