It is best to contact your surgeon who originally carried out the procedure to see if anything can be done to correct your labiaplasty. This is because your surgeon will know what was carried out in the first surgery. If your surgeon is unable or unwilling to treat you,it is best that you bring any medical notes from your first procedure for your new surgeon so he can form an accurate clinical assessment.Excessive removal of labia minora can be complicated to surgically correct but with the help of an experienced surgeon, you can definitely get a result you will be satisfied.
Without a photo it would be difficult to give you an opinion. If you have concerns about your results, it would be a good idea to return to your original surgeon to discuss. They may be able to provide you with a solution.
Hello,Thank you for the question and the photos.I'm sorry to hear about your poor experience. It's difficult to answer your question without seeing the photos. In some cases, if there is sufficient labia tissues left, it is possible to perform revision surgery. I would recommend an in-person consultation with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeons who specializes in Labiaplasty procedures to discuss further your questions and concerns, and for the best cosmetic results. I hope this helps.Best regards,Dr. Irena KaranetzFellowship trainedBoard Certified New York Plastic Surgeon
As the inventor and innovator of the wedge technique in 1994, I reconstruct many women who have had labia reductions by other surgeons, both wedge and trimming techniques. The reconstruction technique depends on the deformity. The reconstruction is more difficult than a primary labiaplasty and should be done by a plastic surgeon with extensive experience in labia reconstruction. I published the first and most extensive paper on labia reconstruction in the prestigious journal "Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery" over ten years ago. I can give you an accurate evaluation if you include photos. You may need various reconstructive techniques to give you a good appearance. If you have adequate clitoral hood, your labia minora can be reconstructed with clitoral hood flaps, which I invented and published in that journal article. In this surgery, I take the remaining tissue of your clitoral hood and transfer it downward to create labia minora. I have done this surgery about 80 times with excellent results. The surgery takes about 3+ hours so it is not a simple office procedure. If any surgeon reduces more of your clitoral hood, you will be ineligible for this repair. You only get one good chance to reconstruct you, so be patient and ask a lot of questions.Gary J. Alter, M.D. Beverly Hills, CA - Manhattan, NYC

Any potential revision surgeon would need a good quality photoset (in-focus, taken from between your legs, frog legged, straight-on, from the left, from the right, and looking from above..) in order to answer your question.Regards,Michael P Goodman, MD, FACOG, IF, AAACSRevision SurgeonSacramento, CA, USA
