My expectations unrealistic? Breast lift and augmentation with uneven results and sagging eight months postop (Photo)

Question

I was born with a very noticeable asymmetry. I was recommended a Unilateral left with bilateral augmentation. The areola size is different as well as placement. I was approved for revision. The doctor said she will only fix the nipple. I have not had any drastic changes to my body yet I am noticing a lot of sagging. Did I have unrealistic expectations to think I could have had similar results ? Is that unattainable with what I started? Is it normal to have loose skin after a lift?

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

I would recommend a secondary lift to achieve more symmetry and elimination of the excess skin in the vertical and horizontal dimensions. I would express your concerns to your original surgeon.

From the submitted photos it appears a revision may help you bring the breasts into better symmetry.  At eight months post op you can consider further surgery at any time.  You will want to discuss if you are happy with the current volume in addition to the asymmetry concerns.  The time to change implant sizes if desired is during the revision.

I think you would benefit from a revision of the left side which will significantly improve your asymmetry. What must be done is resection of the breast tissue and skin in the lower half of the breast, otherwise you will not benefit. Thank you.

The degree of asymmetry you had before surgery made this a very difficult procedure I think your result   be improved.   I think you need an implant on both sides. The problem  with a lift with no implants is that it  usually lacks upper fullness. It is unclear from your description if you have implants in both sides or one only
