Hi... thank you for the question... sometimes after theses type of surgeries the body retain fluids, and because of gravity ankles usually swollen. generally these despair in few days
Thanks for your inquiry. I think you should call your surgeon to discuss ASAP. Most patients will not have calf swelling 2 weeks after surgery. Good luck.
After major surgery the body can cling to fluid is part of the physiology of convalescence. This can translate into swelling of the hands ankles and feet. As the process continues this water will be eliminated by the body.
You should call your surgeon right away. Ankle and calf swelling can be indication of serious problem.
Swelling of your calves and ankles two weeks after breast augmentation is not normal. It could signal other medical issues previously not identified. This swelling is unusual in young women this far after surgery. You should discuss this with your surgeon to make sure no other evaluation is needed to make sure your heart, kidneys and/or valves in the veins in your legs are competent.
Hi cwelchPost operative swelling in both your legs this far down the track is not normal. The fact that it is both legs is encouraging, as it makes clots in your legs less likely.Wearing compression socks (go to a sports store if you do not have surgical ones), avoiding additional salts in your diet and moving round normally will all help this subsideGood LuckDr Gavin Sandercoe
It is unusual to experience swelling so far away from the surgical area and should be a concern you check out right away with your surgeon. While swelling after surgery can sometimes we retention of fluids, and/or because we are not as active and mobile and before surgery, they are generally in the areas of the surgery itself. I agree with the other doctors here who have advised that you see your surgeon ASAP in case it is an indication of something more serious such as blood clot.
Thank you for your question. Swelling in the calves and ankles is not normal after breast augmentation surgery and absolutely needs to be evaluated ASAP. It could be a sign of blood clots which can be very serious and would need to be treated to prevent the clots moving to your lungs. Do not sit and wait, have this checked out now!
You should contact your surgeon for evaluation of your swelling. Although it can be normal, you need to make sure it is not a symptom of something more serious, like a blood clot in the legs or kidney issues. Your doctor will be the best person to evaluate your situation. Best wishes.
This is a good question. You can always lather on a high SPF sunscreen over your incisions underneath your swimsuit. Make sure to always keep your incisions covered for at least a year after your surgery to prevent the incisions from darkening. If you would like more information...

Hello saash. There's no way to answer your question and predict your outcome online. I do encourage patients to choose the breast implant volume which looks the best and forget about bra sizes because if you choose based simply on bra sizes, then you're limiting how beautiful you could be...
Use of a breathing tube can create the symptoms you describe. For our breast augmentations (we do 400 a year), we do not use a breathing tube, so it is kind to your throat.
Thanks for the question. Return to surgeon to ask this question, it was the original design that created this problem. All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL
