come in and want surgery ASAP. One needs
to be a good candidate for breast augmentation.
Additionally, one needs to undergo the necessary preoperative testing
(medical clearance, labs, mammogram). You and your plastic surgeon need to be able to coordinate your
schedules.

Hello, I do occasionally book patients for surgery within a week of the consultation, because as you have pointed out, many have already researched the procedure for years and have been to multiple consultations before making the final decision to have their operation with me.  However, on average in my practice, patients usually book their operation within about 4-6 weeks of having the consultation.

Thanks for the question, I always meet with patients twice before surgery, that can be done within a week if everyone is on the same page, its important to leave a bit of time in case there is any preliminary blood work etc that needs to be done

Hi... thank you for the question... Yes, in this time of the year is normal for patient to want their surgery "ASAP" because is summer, and some of them have vacations. In my practice is very common this time of the year and christmas, if they are certain about the procedure it is ok to do it. 

Most patients a thought about breast augmentation for a long time before visiting the plastic surgeon. As long as there certain about the operation there's no reason not to perform the operation as soon as patient wishes.

Thank you for your question.  The timing will most likely depend upon the availability in your surgeon's schedule.  You can certainly ask to have your surgery as soon as possible but some surgeons are booked weeks or even months in advance.  That said, I would not chose just any surgeon who could work me in quickly.  Choose the best, most qualified surgeon and wait if needed.  A hasty decision could lead to disappointing results and the need for further surgery.Best of luck,

consultation is usually done after the patient had extensively reaserched the topic and the surgeon choice.so when the patient present himself into the office, he is ready for the surgeryif the patient liked the plan, she won't hesitate to book the surgery ASAP.this is usually the rule and not the exception

I have found that by the time patients come in for a consultation, they have done tons of research, talked to people who have had the surgery and evaluated which Board Certified Plastic Surgeon they want to perform the procedure. Coordinating both the day that is best for you and the Surgeon will be key. Good luck.
