How much skin is is recommended to be removed for my lip lift? (photos)

JaneCS
I am planning on getting a lip lift but I’m not sure how much should be removed? I was thinking 7mm but the doctor said could go up to 10mm? My Phil trim is about 20-21mm and I’m 45 years old.
