A recent published study showed a 22% revision rate within two years of surgery. My advice is small round textured silicone gel implants placed retro-pectoral since they look and feel more natural, are more stable, less likely to ripple or have complications needing revision. Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
I haven't had a lot of dissatisfaction. Most of my patients are very happy with their results. I tell all younger women that at some point they will want a lift, especially after child birth.
Great question. Thank you for asking it.As long as a woman chooses to get breast implants for the right reasons and as long as the plastic surgeon is board-certified, highly skilled and experienced; woman with breast implants are typically happy for many years.Good reasons for breast augmentation are to achieve good breast-to-body proportion, to restore breasts back to the pre-baby appearance, to correct asymmetry, for personal self-esteem, and more...Regret from breast augmentation usually stems from getting the implants for the wrong reasons, such as pressure from another person, trying to please or win favor from someone else, making a hasty decision such as around the time of a divorce to other time of life distress, or going too big with implant choice. Some women get very large breast implants at a young age and then later in life, after babies and family, do not consider this to be fashionable any longer. That is why I discourage women from going too large with implant choice. Implants that are proportionate and fit the overall appearance of a women's body is recommended. Also, A women's breasts change throughout her life. It is common later in life as breasts age, to have breast implant revision with or without a breast lift. Ultimately, implant size is a personal choice by each person undergoing breast augmentation. Doctors should pay attention and listen to each patient's needs and desires. It is important to note that breast implants do not last forever. I tell all women, especially young women, undergoing breast augmentation that statistically speaking, there will come a day in their life when they need to have one or both implants changed. Implants are a medical device and do not last forever, just as pacemakers and knee replacements do not last forever. Eventually, medical devices do wear out.I have included a video and link with more educational information.I hope this helps. Best wishes.
Thank you for your questionIt is good to question and debate. Breast augmentation is usually associated with huge patient satisfaction in the majority of cases but of course there will always be some in whom there is regret. It is important you do this operation for the right reasons and for you and you alone rather than for someone else; it is usually in these cases that there may sometimes be second thoughtsGood luck
Interesting question, our studies show that 98% of women felt that breast augmentation surgery either met or exceeded patients expectations, so I guess the answer to your questions is 2%
Cosmetic surgery is something you do for yourself. Breast implant regrets happen when augmentation is done for others, to please someone else, in hope of improving a relationship. Stay true to yourself with your decsion and you will make the correct one.

Having children changes the glandular/fat composition of breasts and also alters the soft tissue envelope and skin quality.
Hello,Your gap will improve with time to a small extent, due to continued stretching of your soft tissues: skin, fat, breast, and muscle. My assumption is that your implants are as well placed as possible, and that the pectoralis muscle was appropriately thinned along the sternal border, and...
There is no good evidence to support this as far as I am aware. You should see a BC PS in your area to discuss this.
