6 months post op, and I can still feel hard Juvederm balls in my lips.

Dear MCscott:This can happen with fillers having high cohesively, such as Juvaderm ultra plus, and Restylane, especially when injected in large aliquots.  It is less likely with Juvederm Ultra, but should not occur with injections of Belotero or Volbella.  If they are troublesome, hyaluronidase should make them smaller or resolve completely.All the best,   Dr. Clark

Thanks for your question and it sounds like you need to have a follow-up with your plastic surgeon injector.  We like these injections to be smooth and uniform.  Any lumps are not what we are looking for and they can be handled if they are a bother with hyaluronidase injections – this will help dissolve the Juvederm in the areas.  You can also wait at this time if they do not bother you – this all will go away over the next few months in most people.  Go back to your surgeon and see what is going on.

These will probably go away, but they could easily be dissolved sooner with hyaluronidase if they bother you. 

Hi- and yes the Juvederm can be dissolved... the process will remove all of the added juvederm, so you may feel you want a little more back in-- just not "balled" up... The injection is called Hyaluronidase and it is an enzyme that dissolves the gel. At my office, this is kept on hand for this type of situation.Good Luck.

If you still feel these lumps in the lips after so much time I would definitely tell you to have hyaluronidase injected into the lumps to dissolve them.  It sounds like there was an excess of filler or it ended up too superficial and needs to be removed.  Please consult an expert.  Best, Dr. Green
