3 days post BBL hard time to eat, also I have a really bad time to sleep.

Thanks for your questions! Adverse reaction to anesthesia and/or analgesics, pain, constipation, heartburn, drowsiness, and general discomfort are common temporary side effects after Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery. If your surgeon used intravenous sedation or general anesthesia to perform your BBL procedure, you may feel disoriented, groggy, or nauseated directly after your surgery. Likewise, if you are allergic to drugs, or any other substances used during your BBL, you may develop an allergic reaction. This could cause nausea and loss of appetite, among other uncomfortable symptoms. Typically, allergic reactions’ symptoms abate within a few days to one week. After surgery, I suggest my patients to consume foods that are easy to digest such as soup and gelatin. Since pain medication often cause constipation, foods high in fiber such as prune juice, raw fruits and vegetables, and plenty of drinking water and fluids should be on hand. Similarly, decreased activity may promote constipation. Some light walking might be advised starting the first night after BBL surgery. However, do consult with your surgeon about it as each case is different. Following a balanced diet, taking supplements like iron if you feel fatigued, and vitamin C to boost your body’s ability to heal are highly recommended. Getting plenty of rest will also help you remain comfortable and shorten your recovery. I suggest my patients stomach sleeping for least the first 8 weeks after BBL surgery, having different pillows at hand and changing their neck’s position from time to time, to feel more comfortable in bed. Side sleeping (in the rescue position on your side) can also be an option after BBL surgery, but only if you feel certain you won’t end up on your back. Most of your weight will be on the front of one of your hips. Your legs will be sprawled out, and you can place a pillow in between them to make it more comfortable. Hope this is helpful! Sorry you are not feeling well.Your constipation and nausea are likely related to the pain pills (narcotics). They should be changed to some other type which will likely help. Use an over the counter stool for constipation. Don't eat for at least 2 or 3 hours before sleep .These things will make you more comfortable. 

Thank you for your question.  It is not unusual to have discomfort and decreased appetite shortly after surgery.  However, it is very important to stay hydrated and tolerate some nutrition.  The pain medication and antibiotics may cause nausea as well.  Anti-nausea medications can help.  For the constipation, I recommend you take stool softener.  You should start to feel better. If you do not, then you must get in contact with your surgeon and/or seek medical attention.

Hello and thank you for your question!These effects are not uncommon post-operative. However you should also express these concerns to your surgeon.

Thank you for your question.  The effects of anesthesia will normally only last 24 hours.  Pain pills can worsen nausea and heart burn.  You may also be dehydrated requiring IV fluids.  Make sure you see your surgeon for an examination.  Best wishes.

Hello,Thank you for sharing the information, it is a pleasure for me to answer your question.It is recommended that you take a healthy diet, rich in fruits and vegetables, drink enough water to avoid constipation, consume more fiber, oats, wheat, it is normal to feel the pain and discomfort to sleep the first days are very difficult, you should follow the recommendations from your surgeon, for better recovery.
