Currently on Ozempic for weight loss, should I expect loose skin and will I require a tummy tuck? (photos)

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, massive weight loss causes loose skin that usually requires tummy tuck. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

It is unlikely that you will have sagging skin after losing the weight. As an aside, you likely do not need a semaglutide. A healthy diet and exercise are likely sufficient to maintain your already fantastic shape.

You are young at 36 and your skin may contract. At this time, I recommend you begin wearing a compressive garment now to help increase your skin tone. It is possible that you may have hanging skin. Liposuction only removes fat and a tummy tuck removes skin. After you have achieved your desired weight loss, you can consider a tummy tuck. If you are not planning future pregnancies, I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement. The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight.

Hello, thank you for the question and the pics. Although you already have loose and extra skin, noticeable from having a horizontal belly button from extra skin above, I don't think you will reach tummy tuck levels, however, there is no sure way to predict it, you would have to loose the weight.

Your skin might do well since you have not been pregnant and stretched it. There are also nonsurgical and minimally invasive surgical radiofrequency procedures to help tighten your skin. Some, like Secret, can be started now to help keep your skin tight.

It's difficult to determine if you will have loose skin after losing another 10kg. You may want to consider treatments to help skin tightening as you are on your weight loss journey.
