I am currently taking ozempic for weight loss (brusies on stomach are from injections) I am down 8kg but would like to lose another 10kg. I have had a belly like this for years and have not had children nor do I plan to. I dont have any loose skin yet it is pinchable fat. Will my skin sag after weight loss? I am 165cm tall, current weight is 68kg, 36 years old
Answer: BodyTite May Be a Better Option Than a Tummy Tuck for Potential Skin Laxity After Weight Loss Thank you, jwn101, for your question regarding the potential for loose skin after weight loss on Ozempic. Congratulations on your weight loss! By examining your photos, it does not appear that further weight loss will result in the need for a full tummy tuck. You may experience some skin laxity as you lose more weight, but it seems minimal, and a less invasive option, such as BodyTite, could effectively tighten your skin without the need for surgery. BodyTite is a skin-tightening procedure that uses radiofrequency technology to firm up the skin and reduce small areas of fat, making it a great option if you are worried about skin sagging after losing an additional 10 kg. Since you haven't had children and are still relatively young, your skin may retain more of its elasticity, minimizing the risk of severe sagging. If the skin laxity does become more noticeable after you’ve reached your weight loss goal, you can still consider a tummy tuck to address the loose skin, but it may not be necessary in your case. I recommend waiting until you finish your weight loss journey and seeing how your skin responds before deciding on any procedures. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Weight loss and saging skin Hello, thank you for the question and the pics. Although you already have loose and extra skin, noticeable from having a horizontal belly button from extra skin above, I don't think you will reach tummy tuck levels, however, there is no sure way to predict it, you would have to loose the weight.

Answer: Weight loss Dear jwn101, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, massive weight loss causes loose skin that usually requires tummy tuck. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Abdomen Your skin might do well since you have not been pregnant and stretched it. There are also nonsurgical and minimally invasive surgical radiofrequency procedures to help tighten your skin. Some, like Secret, can be started now to help keep your skin tight.

Answer: Will I have loose skin? It's difficult to determine if you will have loose skin after losing another 10kg. You may want to consider treatments to help skin tightening as you are on your weight loss journey. Some to consider are non surgical treatments like Evolve Tone, Tite, and Transform. Another option is Morpheus8. See my website or a provider near you to learn more.
