Can I have a nose job, while I have my cheeks enhanced?

I'm planning to have a cheek enhancement with voluma in November. In January I wanted to have a nose job. Will the filler in my cheeks make the swelling after a nose job worse ? Is it safe to have my ckeeks enhanced 2 months before a nose job ?

I like the rhinoplasty to take precedence over injectables. However it does seem appropriate to space out the two procedures as much as possible. Again two months is fine but the longer the better. Hope this helps.

It should not be an issue at all.  Filling the cheeks will not effect the nose, particularly if done two months in advance.  If I am augmenting cheeks with fat transfer at the time of nose surgery than there are certain things to be aware of.  As part of volume loss in the cheek there is varying degrees of resorption of the maxilla, the bone in underlying the anterior cheek.  If volume needs to be added to the cheek closer to the nostril where it meets the cheek, and it is done at the time of rhinoplasty it can artificially cause the nose to appear more rotated while it is swollen.  In your situation you describe there is no reason to worry about the effect of filling the cheek.

This shouldn't be a problem. Many surgeons will do them at the same time. The nice part about that is you don't feel a thing during filler placement.

The area where the Voluma is placed is not in the operative field of the rhinoplasty so it will not cause an issue.

Fillers placed in the nose 2 months before or after a nose job is acceptable.  Choose your rhinoplasty surgeon based on extensive experience because it is  one of the more difficult operations to perform correctly  in the entire field of cosmetic surgery

Hi Kasha,I think you have a good plan. Filler to the cheeks 2 months before your rhinoplasty should work well for you.Most of the swelling from the rhinoplasty is in the nose itself and around the eyes. Sometimes it extends to the upper lip as well. Swelling after the rhinoplasty usually does not extend all the way to the cheek bones.Hope this helps!Good luck
