Decades ago as a young teenager, I had a rhinoplasty procedure by a renowned surgeon and I immediately regretted it. I thought it looked “done” and very obvious. To say it caused me emotional pain and embarrassment throughout my life would be an understatement.

Over the years, I visited plastic surgeons in an effort to correct my overcorrected nose. I missed looking like myself. Instead of making me look like a better version of myself, I looked like someone completely different and not in a good way. I was told over and over that it couldn’t be fixed and any attempt to try could yield even worse results.

After many years and with the advent of social media, I began to revisit the idea of revision rhinoplasty and I found Dr. Robert Glasgold through my own online search. Reading a review by a woman who had just gone through a revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Glasgold spoke to me in a personal way, her story being similar to mine.

I also found a YouTube video of Dr. Glasgold talking about the revision rhinoplasty procedure and the inherent emotional complexities surrounding such surgeries, the procedure itself and his unique approach to revision rhinoplasty patients. He was able to meet me where I was as a patient, including my hypersensitivity during his initial examination and my anxiousness explaining to him how it all went wrong during my first surgery.

During my initial consultation with Dr. Glasgold, I had my first sense of hope and possibility that a successful revision was possible and very doable. Dr. Glasgold’s manner was calm and professional. He explained clearly how he would approach the surgery, the details of the surgery and what to expect. He provided computer images rendering the anticipated outcome. The actual outcome was exactly the same as the computer images, except I think in person and my real after pictures look even better. In real life it looks absolutely beautiful. It’s everything I wanted my nose to be. It is natural, beautiful and well-proportioned.

I had a second consultation after I had decided Dr. Glasgold would do the surgery and he was just as patient answering my additional questions and took his time going over everything again. The office is run smoothly, everyone is very nice, helpful and responsive pre and post-surgery.

I am just a bit over six weeks out from my surgery and I couldn’t be happier with the results or love it any more than I do at this very moment. And it is still healing into the final outcome. Even more than how much I love it to look at, is how good and peaceful I feel on the inside. All the years of grief and sadness just melted away when my bandages came off.

Dr. Robert Glasgold’s expertise is unparalleled. My experience as his patient has been excellent on every level and I give him my highest recommendation.

I’m grateful to have met Dr. Glasgold. I had rhinoplasty / septoplasty with turbinate reduction in December 2022, then in March 2024 had otoplasty and lower blepharoplasty with fat transfer. Everything went as expected with the procedures and recovery, and I am happy with the results.

I am 5 months post revision rhinoplasty and I have had a wonderful experience with Dr. Robert and at The Glasgold Group at every point in my care. I waited over 30 years to have a revision and the results are life changing for me. I LOVE my nose and I can breathe!! Dr. Robert and staff have well exceeded my expectations!!!

Dr. Glasgold is the only person I felt comfortable trusting with a very complex revision rhinoplasty. Twice broken nose, rhinoplasty after each - and ultimately needed very complex revision with ear cartilage (painless) to try to return some symmetry after a failed rhinoplasty post second break.

Dr. Glasgold is immensely thoughtful and spends much time during the consult / photo generation to enable you to know what you can / cannot expect, and he was able to restore my nose to the point that I do not need to spend every day constantly thinking about it. I think for some the fear is that the nose will get worse if touched as many times as mine, and I am thrilled with the improvement. And unlike others, he continues to provide care to keep the appearance improving (only four months out at this point so not at final state). His Team is also exceptionally caring - not a transactional type of surgical practice as with most others - you have constant access and care. Go see Dr. Glasgold!

If you are looking for a rhinoplasty or a revision, look no further. This was my 4th surgery (3 septoplasties, one septorhino) and my last surgery left me so botched and depressed. I interviewed with many docs all over the east coast (NYC, Boston,DC), some that were the "top" docs also. Many doctors wouldnt even take my case. I did research for 1 year, and I stumbled upon Dr. Glasgold. His revision portfolio was extensive and impressive. I waited 6 months for a consultation for him, and was so glad I did. Dr. Glasgold isn't one of those "social media" docs, all of his patients are word of mouth.... let me just tell you, he is THE guy. And the guy does not even need social media, he's booked and busy because he's the best. What drew me to his was his confidence, with a lack of cockiness. I joined several rhinoplasty groups, and found real patients of his and the reviews were phenomenal. Alot of "top" docs will remove negative reviews and even sue patients who post them. I found many reddit threads about this happening to some patients botched by "top" docs. Dr. Glasgold is clean. I searched everywhere, I couldn't find anything but happy patients. And now, I am one! He did my complex revision, my recovery was painless TRULY I was shocked. I am 3 months post op and my nose is beautiful and I feel like I was born with it, that's how natural it looks. I am 3 months post op and feeling better every day.

This was my second revision and I needed it to be my last. It took me 3 years to decide on a doctor who I thought was worth the risk. The main selling point for me was the photos on Dr. Glasgold's website (and so I'll provide my own here). I was concerned with tip work, but I liked that he noticed every little detail that could be corrected - things other surgeons hadn't mentioned. He was also the only surgeon I met with who brought up using ear cartilage (instead of rib). I've since read ear cartilage is great for tip work, very malleable. I have a minor scar that's mostly faded on my inner ear; it's barely noticeable, but I wouldn't even mind if it was more prominent because my nose looks better than I ever hoped.
The hospital is standard, nothing fancy. I prefer being in a hospital to a private office surgical room, just in case of emergency.
After surgery I had a small bump on one side of the tip (you might notice in the photo). I originally thought it was cartilage, but Dr. G confirmed it was scar tissue (so not something he could have controlled). He gave me an injection and I wasn't expecting much, but the bump disappeared completely for a few months and is now smaller. I will probably get another, but I'm so happy no matter what. For the first time in my life I don't hate my nose. I'm no longer constantly worried about what other people are thinking when they look at me. It's a huge relief and I'm so grateful.

Dr. Glasgold is a nose guru. I just got my procedure done in sept 2022 and it’s the nose I’ve ALWAYS wanted. I got a rhinoplasty back in 2015 and was left super botched. My breathing was terrible, it was super crooked and my tip was bulbous and drooping. Obviously didn’t have much faith in doctors after that and spent years finding the right one. In 2019 I found Dr.Glasgold and after my consultation I knew I’d be following through with him. He’s super informative, describes the pros and cons and speaks with confidence while being super down to earth. I felt comfortable in the whole process from the first consultation to my now 3rd follow up. I finally have the nose I’ve wanted and I can finally BREATHE. His team is amazing as well. They make you feel super comfortable, and most of them have also gotten procedures done by him! So you can ask about their experience as well. I love this practice and will always recommend him.

Both the procedure and recovery went really well. He makes sure you get what you want and that it is done the correct way. He makes you feel really comfortable and the overall experience was amazing.
