Thank you for sharing your question. It is common for the eyelids to feel very heavy following upper blepharoplasty. This will fully resolve and will not create ptosis. Give it a couple of weeks to look and feel good.Good luck,
Within a few hours after surgery it is normal to have a heavy sensation in the eyes. Ptosis can be a risks of upper eyelid surgery but this heavy feeling so close to the time of surgery has no indication this will be a problem for you. I would recommend contacting your surgeon to let them know of any issues but be as patient as possible. As things heal I think you will feel much better. Hope this helps.Best of luck,DrC
Yes - it is indeed a common post-op, temporary issue. It's due to the combination of injected local anesthesia and swelling. In the vast majority of cases, it resolves completely, without worsening any eyelid ptosis.
Heavy, swollen lids common after eyelid surgery. This can result in drooping and ptosis that will improve as the eyelids heal.
It is very common for eyelids to feel heavy after eyelid surgery until the bruising and swelling is completely resolved, and that may be several weeks.
Eyelids can feel heavy after any facial surgery and or facial procedure including fillers or neurotoxin injection. Facial swelling including swelling around the eyes may result in them feeling heavy and or droopy. Swelling can be reduced with ICE, elevation, and NSAIDs, and as the swelling reduces the heaviness and droopiness should improve. If it's does not then notify your surgeon as there may be a possibility of a nerve injury, though typically this is usually temporary, and will improve over time.
It is completely normal for your eyes to feel heavy immediately after surgery. This is due to multiple factors including the local anesthetic injection, the swelling around the eyelids, as well as normal muscular weakness after eyelid surgery. I would not anticipate or be concerned about eyelid ptosis this early in the healing process.
She definitely has had a lot of fillers in her upper cheeks that is propping up the outer corner of her eye. Beyond that, it is somewhat difficult to judge as this one photo taken this year could be mid blink. She appears to possibly had an upper blepharoplasty to remove a bit of upper eyelid...
Thank you for your question. We would always recommend getting clearance by your ophthalmogist with any sort of serious eye condition but yet I have performed this surgery on many people with myopia. We are not actually touching the eye itself so there should be no risks to worsen this. Of mo...
Looking at your photos, you really don't have an eyebag. You have hollowness under the eyes that is casting a shadow. I would recommend all-natural and reversible fillers like Restylane (hyaluronic acid). In the past, I used to use Bellafill but found that in small percentage of patients I ha...
