Thank you for your question. At my practice, I perform many BBL and tummy tuck combo procedures. However, if you're considering having a BBL and tummy tuck done individually, then it makes sense to do the tummy tuck first. Then 4-5 months later, a BBL can be performed. The reason being that if you have significant excess skin and you get liposuction in that area, the area will look wrinkled, scarred, and irregular. Also doing significant liposuction on the abdomen and then having a tummy tuck later can predispose you to wound healing complications after the tummy tuck. I would recommend getting a proper evaluation by a board certified plastic surgeon. Take care, Moises Salama MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Hi, thank you for sharing your question. I would recommend that you do the BBL before doing a tummy tuck. This will allow you to harvest more fat for the BBL and also optimize the amount of skin resection for your tummy tuck later on.
Thank you for your question and pictures. I would recommend you a Tummy Tuck for betters results. If you're willing to travel, Surgeons in the Dominican Republic have experience and very high standard of excellence when it comes to plastic surgery. I'm positive you can get what you're looking for
Most patients get an immense benefit with maximal liposuction of the abdomen, sides, and back to obtain the smallest waist possible and then maximal fat transfer to the buttocks and hips. You could have the TT done first to remove the loose skin and tighten the abdomen. However, the result will not be as tight as lipo and BBL first and then TT. If you are in good health, both can be performed at the same time; but the upper abdomen cannot be aggressively liposuctioned at the time of the TT due to blood supply issues.
Dear euphemiacolbert, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. Flanks liposuction would give you a better shape. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
I am happy to hear you are going into this journey understanding that a tummy tuck and Brazilian butt lift must be done in two separate procedures for safety and comfortability while healing. Typically, we encourage patients to do a tummy tuck first. This is a more invasive procedure, requires longer healing times, and is focused on your abdomen. The mindset behind this recommendation is that after your belly area is significantly flatter you may have a new perception of your buttocks and liposuction goals and we have the ability to perform the BBL procedure more artistically. Wishing you health and happiness! Dr. Eric Khairalla
You will need 2-3 rounds of surgery based upon your posted photos. That is since you are overweight and hang excess skin. Start with Lipo 360/BBL then after 4-6 months a round 2, maybe an extended TT with 1 liter lipo small BBL. Fees per round range from $6,500- $12,000. Best to do in person or virtual consults.
Based on your pictures, you are an excellent candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). A staged approach where a full tummy tuck of the abdomen alongside a lateral thigh and buttock lift to reshape and lift those areas would benefit you most. As early as 3 months or 6 months after the date of your BBL and body lift, the second stage of your procedure consisting of liposuction of your abdomen and anterior flanks can be performed. The optimal BBL outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACSRealself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee
If you want to have a good looking body then the first step needs to be weight loss. you carry a substantial amount of visceral fat and if you get a tummy tuck with a large amount A visceral fat your upper abdomen will bulge after the procedure. You didn’t include pictures of your bottom so it’s hard to make an assessment. Proper picture should show the body from the knees to the shoulders wearing undergarments standing in a neutral position including the front side and back.Weight loss should come first after that I suggest having multiple in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons to get a good assessment and a better understanding of what can and can’t be accomplished and which procedure should come next.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
Hello and thanks for your question. I would recommend getting a BBL before the tummy tuck so that they can extract as much fat as needed from your stomach and back areas for the buttocks. However, it really depends on how big you want your buttocks to be. They may not even need to take fat from your abdomen, you probably would have enough from your back. In that case, it would not matter whether you did the tummy tuck or BBL first. The best thing to do is to go to a consultation so your doctor can have you an accurate picture of how much fat you have, and how much fat you want in your buttocks. Please see a board-certified physician for your consultation. Best of luck to you!
