It’s been 2 years since I’ve stepped foot in a gym and I’m the heaviest I’ve everh been. Needless to say, I’m excited but also scared to go on this BBL journey for the first time. I want to know what would be the best way for me to achieve the “snatched” waist with the cute bum look. You know, the skinny, tiny waist, curvy hips with an upside down heart shaped ass. I’ve had 2 consultations, one told me I would also need a tummy tuck. I’d like to know others’ opinion on this.

Answer: BBL & Tummy Tuck Thanks for your question. I suggest you upload a front, side and back pictures of you in a two piece bathing suit for a better evaluation as it is difficult to tell just from this picture if you would need a tummy tuck. Note, the tummy tuck addresses the issue of excess fat and hanging skin in the abdominal area by removing it with an incision along the bikini line while with the BBL involves 360 lipo (lipo of the upper and lower abdomen, the upper and lower back and the flanks) to contour the waistline and then the fat is injected into the buttocks to augment it. I recommend scheduling a consult for a proper evaluation. Make sure your surgeon you choose has extensive experience in with both the BBL and tummy tuck procedure and has clean credentials. Always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Take care, Moises Salama MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: BBL Hi, thank you for sharing your question. You are a great candidate for liposuction. Based on this photo, it’s hard to tell about the abdominal skin laxity, but I would venture to say that you will have a great result with 360 Lipo to achieve that “snatched” waistline. I don’t think you will need a tummy tuck.
