Chin implant removal dilema

I 20(f) got a small chin implant on June 20th Now as it gets to three months I see results im not the fondest of and pain in the right wing of the implant. I planned on getting it removed September 19th, however the following three days after I have college orientation and less than a week later start college. Should I get it removed asap even with how busy I am? Or wait until winter break, which would put me at 6 months post op. Would those extra 3 months with the implant pose a ptosis risk?

I would need a series of photos to give you advice. When a chin implant is removed, there is a risk of chin ptosis due to the soft tissue covering the implant now having laxity and a weaker mentalis muscle. There are several treatment options depending on the asymmetry and projection.

One of the options, in particular when large augmentation is needed, is sliding genioplasty. It would be wise to discus that option with your surgeon or seek second opinion. Good luck.
