It is a simple procedure to remove the implant in the office with local anesthesia. I would get it removed now. There is minimal to no recovery.

I would need a series of photos to give you advice. When a chin implant is removed, there is a risk of chin ptosis due to the soft tissue covering the implant now having laxity and a weaker mentalis muscle. There are several treatment options depending on the asymmetry and projection.

One of the options, in particular when large augmentation is needed, is sliding genioplasty. It would be wise to discus that option with your surgeon or seek second opinion. Good luck.
