Should I be concerned about possible sagging, laxity or ptosis after chin implant replacement?

I had a silicone chin done 16 years ago, used a small size implant. The chin is too pointed and the lines are not smooth when viewed from the side. Want to replacement smaller implant, The skin will become loose, sagging and dimping?

The size and length of time since the surgery have an impact on the amount of skin laxity following removal. If you place a larger implant or undergo a sliding genioplasty then there should be no laxity. If you elect to simply have the implant removed, there could be some skin laxity and sagging.

Generally, speaking, changing to a slightly smaller implant, should not affect the skin in terms of skin laxity, but the procedure may or may not give the results you’re hoping for.
