BBL after care - when will I be able to go back to work? How long will I need to sleep on my stomach?

Is important to understand that every specialist has his own technique for performing every procedure.; It's like when every person has a different way to do one thing but gets to a similar outcome. Depending on the concept and technique applied by the doctor the recommendations and indications are different. The length of time you will need to take off from work after a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery can vary depending on a number of factors, including the type of work you do, the extent of the procedure, and your individual recovery. Generally, most patients are able to return to desk jobs within 7-10 days after the surgery, while more physically demanding jobs may require a longer recovery period of 2-3 weeks or more. We advice sleep on stomach for 10 days after the surgery. It's important to discuss your individual recovery timeline with your plastic surgeon and follow their recommendations to ensure a safe and successful recovery. I wish you all the best.

Thanks for your questions. As far as recovery is concerned, I generally tell my patients that they may return to work in 10-14 days after a Brazilian butt lift. My patients are instructed to minimize sitting for one month. If your job requires sitting, a special BBL pillow can be used to take some of the weight off of the buttocks. I also advise my patients to not sleep on their buttocks for at least 6 weeks. Make sure the surgeon you choose has extensive experience with BBLs and clean credentials. hello, 1 month you need to lay on your stomach. After 20 days you can go back to work but you can not sit to long you need to sit 30 min and walk or stand 30 min.

I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors.It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery.

Every plastic surgeon has his/her own postoperative care protocols. Some doctors give strict prone (face down) position, some give side positions while others give supine (face up) position with BBL pillow and back support. As BBL is a procedure that is commonly combined with other surgeries like Tummy Tuck and Breast Surgery, my observations are that to lie on your back does not harm the results of the BBL, required with the thigh and back supports that minimizes the pressure on the fat graft.
I give prone position for one week after BBL done singularly and supine position with combined procedures. I did not see a difference between the results of the BBL as long as my patient follows my instructions.
Nevertheless we discourage sitting too long until the end of the first month. The first month is especially important for the fat cells to heal in place and survive effectively. So for a person who works in sitting position, it is better not to start work first month. If not possible, not exceed 30 minutes of sitting, stand up for 15 minutes at least and use the BBL pillow that helps you sit on your thighs instead of fat graft.

You ask great questions but why have you not asked your chosen surgeon???? Or did you book with a clinic? where you only have spoken to a receptionish/patient coordinator (untrained medical person!)??? If using private practice boarded PSs you would have been given written instructions as to all these concerns... In general terms, most return to employment after 2 -3 weeks. I recommend use of BBL pillow for 6 weeks and sleeping face down for 3-6 weeks. But again you are NOT my patient, yet? LOL. Good luck at the clinic....
