I had my BA last Thursday. Since the beginning of recovery and still continuing now, my right breast mostly on the underneath near the sutures is in discomfort but my left is not at all. Is that common? Do I need to maybe favor my left hand more for use to let the right side rest?

Answer: Pain after Breast Augmentation Discomfort after surgery is very common and may be more on one side than the other. This is normal and settles out with time. Things to watch out for and bring to your surgeon's attention immediately are: Significant or increasing difference in size of the breasts One breast that is higher or tighter than the other Redness of one side more than the other Thickening of the scar on one side more than the other Drainage from the incision Your surgeon is your advocate and any other concerns should be brought to her/his attention.

Answer: Is it typical that one breast/incision may be more sore than the other? Thank you for sharing your question and congratulations on your breast augmentation procedure. With as recent as your surgery is it is not uncommon to have asymmetrical pain, swelling, or implant position. These tend to improve spontaneously given enough healing time. I know waiting is difficult but allow your results more time to mature while ensuring appropriate follow up by your surgeon so as to address any issues. Hope this helps.
