I had my BA done on May 13th - The implants have finally started to settle but I have noticed that one side is noticeably bigger than the other. He did point out to me that I originally had one side slightly bigger but said that it did not justify having a different size implant. I was a 30a before and am now around a c-cup. Do you think that it is due to them softening at different rates or that I should have a bigger implant in the smaller side?
Answer: 8 weeks post op Thank you for your question. You are very early in your healing. Your breasts will continue to change. If you are concerned, please see your plastic surgeon.

Answer: 2 Months Post BA Hello,Thank you for your question and photos. Some asymmetry is not unusual while healing and at 2 months you will still have some settling to do. The original volume difference you may have had will remain, but I recommend that you wait a full 6 months to evaluate your results. All the best

Answer: Uneven implants? 8 weeks post op You are still very early in the healing process and asymmetry is very common at this point in time. Usually, asymmetries post-op are caused by persistent swelling. Each breast has a different rate of healing, which means they will have different times and areas of swelling and bruising. It is best to wait for about 6 months for your body to fully heal, as swelling will subdue and you will see your final results.

Answer: Too early to tell Thank you very much for your interesting question. I agree with the other surgeons in that it is slightly too early to assess symmetry completely. You will need to wait for 6 months following surgery for the swelling to have settled and for the implants to have settled too. Overall however I think you have got a good result from Breast Augmentation despite the mild asymmetry and I hope you are happy with the results of surgery. I agree with the answers of the other surgeons that a 3D Simulation may have been helpful prior to surgery. I wish you the best of luck for the future.

Answer: Uneven implants? Hi and welcome to our forum! Healing after breast augmentation varies from individual to individual but usually takes 6-12 months to be completed. During the interim, there may be subtle and even not so subtle differences in size and shape between the breasts which will diminish over time as the tissues soften. If there is a significant difference between breast sizes, one may consider revisional surgery @ 6 months. If there is minimal difference, I would wait the full year. Best wishes!
