Are nostril reduction stitches noticeable?

Nasal base incisions hide very nicely when performed properly. The sutures are also very fine and are removed at five days following surgery. Suture marks should not be noticeable after nostril reductions.  However, if the cuts are not placed in the right place, then even the best suturing will be noticeable and unsightly. Best to discuss the technique with your surgeon and look at examples of their work to be confident you will get a great result.

The sutures are visible while they are in. The healed incision, though, are well-hidden and rarely noticeable. 

Nostril reduction is also known as alarplasty and can be a fairly simple procedure.  When properly designed and when the sutures are removed before 5 days the final incision appearance will be good and not really noticeable.All the best,Dr Remus Repta

Usually, the alar base reduction scars are imperceptible after a brief period of healing. The sutures are usually removed in 7 days or less, and this is the only time they may be noticeable.

The answer is no.  In the vast majority of cases, the nostril reduction sutures are not noticeable.  Best wishes!
