Liposuction in the axillary region is a very nice procedure that can help you achieve what you want without any big skin incision or excision.  In some instances, one is removing skin as well, but this would depend on a physical exam.  As far as healing goes, you should be fine with a few weeks of support garments and taking it easy with your baby.

If the area of breast tissue in question is substantially fat this can be treated quite easily with liposuction using local anesthesia only. Physical examination will be necessary to sort this out.

Extra breast tissue under the arm is not at all that uncommon, expecially is women with a very large breast. If the skin elasticity is good liposuction alone can solve the problem and is a good place to start, however if the skin is quite lax, some skin exicion can eliminate the excess and fullness with a fairly good scar.

adjunct for breast reduction surgery.
The success of liposuction really depends upon the component of the
tissue being removed. In a young
individual breast tissue is very dense, and liposuction is not that effective
for removal. As a person gets older, the
breast tissue gets more of a fatty component to it, and liposuction is a more
feasible option for the older individual.
The breast tissue can run up into the axillary area. That is called the tail of the breast. The plastic surgeon examining you should be
able to determine whether the fullness near the armpit is axillary fat or
actually aberrant breast tissue. Based
upon the exam, your plastic surgeon should be able to determine whether
liposuction would be an option for you as opposed to surgical excision.

It would be helpful if you could provide a before surgery and after surgery photo of your problem. Sometimes the problem may be improved with liposuction to the area.
