This is why its very difficult to liposuction arms because most people have a combination of fat and excess skin which can become looser after liposuction. If you don't want to have the traditional arm lift, you may want to try noninvasive skin tightening procedures with Venus Legacy. This may help tighten some skin and improve the appearance of your upper arms. If those results are not enough for you, then you could always get an arm lift. Hope this helps!
This requires a combination of radiofrequency heating and sometimes revision liposuction to break apart scar tissue. I suggest seeing a body contouring specialist. Venus legacy or velashape treatments to start would do well. Best, Dr. Emer.
From the photograph alone it looks as though there may be redundant skin of the upper arm. Liposuction can sometimes aggravate this. When swelling is totally complete if the situation does indeed exist then consideration might be given to brachioplasty were that excess skin would be eliminated.
Thanks for the question. It depends how long it has been since you had the surgery. These irregularities may be a result of swelling. Consult with your surgeon for any further questions. All the best,Dr. Results
Hi annie8I am sorry that you are unhappy with your liposuction result. This presents a difficult restoration challenge. In looking at this one picture alone, I think that additional fat removal alone would be ill advised. Using laser lipo to just tighten the skin would also be risky at best.I think your best bet would be a brachioplasty. This is a rather big operation compared to the original plan, but it will take care of your concerns and address the loss of tissue strength and other problems that I suspect are underlying.I have enclosed a link.Best.Se
This would clearly have to be approved by orthopedic surgeon. I'm not certain I would feel comfortable introducing ultrasonic energy that creates thermal damage as part of the technique. I think conventional liposuction with small cannulas is a much better choice.
We tell our patients that they will see some results by one month, but to allow a full 2 months before the final shape sets in. If a patient had a lot of swelling or bruising after surgery , then 3 months may be more realistic. Keep your surgeon apprised of all concerns. Best wishes.
I typically recommend that my patients wear a compression garment for a few weeks after liposuction. Every surgeon is different with their post op directions to their patients so I would follow your surgeon's direction for after surgery. Good luck with your recovery!
